A-Rod is five Home Runs away from history

40 year old Alex Rodriguez has 758 Home Runs five away from breaking Barry Bonds' record of 762. Rodriguez has been playing 20 years and 3 of them with his current team the Astros, where he makes 24 million a year. Alex Rodriguez has 10 home runs in 2016 playing 3rd and batting lead-off in the Astros lineup. Rodriguez's contract is up in 2017 and he will be 41, A-Rod will most likely be passing Barry's record very soon, unless he receives and injury.

Starlin Traded to Anaheim

Today a trade sending SS Starlin Castro 95 to the Angels was completed. Starlin is a very good SS, he has gotten 200 hits for the past two years and has been bating .300 for four years. So far in 2016 Starlin has played in 77 games getting 312 at-bats. Starling has a .301 AVG and a .342 OBP with 40 RBIs and 94 hits.

In the trade the Cubs received LF Jose Conchula 86/94 and 2B Wes Pebbles 69/90. Jose is a very good young stud and has the potential to be a future MVP award winner and Wes Pebbles could be a good edition or bad edition to the Cubs depending on how Wes turns out.

Angels GM Onelessreason had this to say "The Angels get Castro allows me to possibly deal Elvis ...
Like Castro enough to deal my best hitting spec. "
